STATS TO CHEERS OVER
-- Falcons running back Bijan Robinson scored two rushing touchdowns. He ran the ball into the end zone from 1 and 4 yards out in the first half.
- Robinson and Tyler Allgeier join the Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery as the only running back duos through Week 11's Sunday games to each score six or more scrimmage touchdowns this season. The Falcons teammates have six apiece.
- Robinson has now had three games against Carolina with multiple rushing touchdowns, making him one of two players across the NFL to accomplish such a feat. Running back Michael Turner also had three games in which he scored more than one rushing touchdown against the Panthers. Turner's came between 2008-11.
- Robinson finished with 143 yards from scrimmage, giving him a league-high 24 games since 2023 with at least 100 yards from scrimmage.
-- With his 119 yards receiving against the Panthers, Falcons wide receiver Drake London has reached the 100-yard mark in three straight games. That's the longest active streak in the NFL.
-- Three different Falcons rookies have recorded at least 1.5 sacks in a single season for the first time since 1984, and they are edge rusher Jalon Walker (four), edge rusher James Pearce Jr. (2.5) and cornerback Billy Bowman Jr. (1.5) this season.
-- The Falcons have scored a touchdown on 10 consecutive red-zone drives, including three against the Panthers. It's their second-longest streak. Their longest is 11, set in 2018.
FACTS TO SIP ON
-- Panthers quarterback Bryce Young threw for 448 yards, which ranks as the sixth most against the Falcons all time. The others are as follows:
- Jake Plummer | 499 yards | Oct. 31, 2004 | Denver Broncos
- Joe Burrow | 481 yards | Oct. 23, 2022 | Cincinnati Bengals
- Joe Montana | 476 yards | Oct. 14, 1990 | San Francisco 49ers
- Tommy Maddox | 473 yards | Nov. 10, 2002 | Pittsburgh Steelers
- Dak Prescott | 450 yards | Sept. 20, 2020 | Dallas Cowboys
-- The Falcons also lost to the Panthers in Week 3. The last time Atlanta was swept by Carolina was 2013. This season marks the fourth time it's happened in the history of the rivalry.
-- The Falcons are the first team in the Super Bowl era to have at least 18 defensive sacks in a three-game span but lose all three games. They had five against the Panthers, seven against the Indianapolis Colts and six against the New England Patriots.
-- The Falcons are the first team to reach overtime in two consecutive games this season. They're 0-2 in those games. Since the option was introduced in 1974, this is only Atlanta's second time with back-to-back overtime games. The last time was just last season, in Weeks 17 and 18. The Falcons also went 0-2 in those games.
QUOTING RAHEEM MORRIS
On how he would assess his leadership...
"We've lost a bunch of games in a row in tight moments. You've got to find a way to win those games, man. It definitely is on me. There's no such thing as a losing team; there's only a losing leader. I'm the leader, and we lost."
QUOTING THE FALCONS
Running back Tyler Allgeier
On staying off social media to avoid negativity...
"Who cares what sheep say to a lion?"
QUOTING THE OPPONENT
Panthers head coach Dave Canales
On the defensive adjustments made at halftime...
"Simply put, it was tackling in the first half, and Bijan (Robinson) really just went off. We had guys in position, and he made us miss a couple of times. That's where we have to have the full group rallied into the ball. so that if someone does miss, someone's there to pick it up. He picked up a bunch of extra yards that way. Playing the little details, all those things, were talked about at the half. That really wasn't the full story, it was really just about the guys getting in position to get the guy down."
