- The Saints fell to the Rams 34-10 on Sunday, dropping their record to 1-8 on the season. They will return to action, when they play the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, November 9 at Bank of America Stadium. Kickoff is 12:00 p.m. CT and the contest will be regionally televised on FOX (WVUE FOX 8 in the New Orleans area.)
- Rookie quarterbackTyler Shoughmade his first career start on Sunday, the 40th Saint to start a game at the position. He finished 15-of-24 (62.5 pct.) for 176 yards to go with one second quarter touchdown pass to tight endJuwan Johnsonand one interception.
- Wide receiverRashid Shaheedled the New Orleans pass catchers with five receptions for 68 yards on the day. Rashid also returned a kickoff for 29 yards and brought back a punt for nine yards for a club-best 116 all-purpose yards.
- Wide receiverChris Olaveadded three grabs for 57 yards (19.0 avg).
- Johnson added three receptions for 31 yards and a second quarter touchdown grab.
- QuarterbackTaysom Hilladded four carries for 30 yards including a season-best/team-high 29-yard run. With the big gain, he moved into 25th all-time in rushing yards by a player not designated a running back, passing quarterback Rich Gannon and Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Bobby Layne (Class of 1967).
- LinebackerDemario Davisonce again paced the Saints defense, racking up 13 tackles. Sunday was his 122nd game as a Saint, moving into a tie on the club's games played list for 32nd with current Vice President of Player Engagement, Fred McAfee.
- Davis also played in his 219th career game in his 14th season, tying Takeo Spikes for 12th all-time in NFL record books for games played by a linebacker.
- Davis has a team-leading 85 tackles on the season. He now has 80 tackles in 13 consecutive seasons, the third-longest active streak in the NFL, joining Washington Commanders linebacker Bobby Wagner (14 seasons-2012-25) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David (13 consecutive seasons-2012-24-57 stops in 2025).
- SafetyJustin Reidset a new career-high against the Rams, racking up 13 tackles (seven solo) and a pass defense. Reid also contributed to a missed field goal with his movement along the line of scrimmage on the play.
