The Bears on Tuesday reached the NFL's mandatory 85-man roster limit by making the following moves:

• Signed center/guard Corey Dublin and safety Jon Alexander.

Dublin, an undrafted rookie, had a tryout with the Bears during rookie minicamp in May. The Tulane product started 61 games through five seasons in college, playing both the center and guard positions.

Alexander returns to the Bears after previously signing with the team in the spring as an undrafted rookie before being waived on Aug. 5. The safety played at four colleges, finishing at Charlotte where he had eight starts, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.

• Placed rookie center Doug Kramer on injured reserve with a lower leg injury. Kramer was a sixth-round pick out of Illinois and played 48 snaps in the team's first preseason game against the Chiefs.

The Bears will have to trim their roster to 80 by 3 p.m. (CT) next Tuesday and to 53 a week later by 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30.
