Chase Elliott, who won the Alsco Uniforms 500 at Charlotte on May 28, will start on the pole Sunday for the NASCAR Cup Series' Folds of Honor Quik Trip 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Ga.

Aric Almirola will start second alongside Elliott ahead of the 325-lap, 500.5-mile race.

Brad Keselowski, who captured the Supermarket Heroes 500 on Sunday at Bristol, landed the sixth spot in the grid.

With the Cup Series forgoing qualifying in light of the coronavirus pandemic, the starting order was determined by a set formula.

The first 12 positions were filled in a random draw of charter teams in those positions based on team owner points.

The same procedure was followed to fill slots 13 through 24, then slots 25 through 36. The 37th through 40th positions were assigned to open, non-chartered teams in order of owner points.
